why do broken hearts have to last so long and be so tender?

its unfair.

logically i suppose it makes sense that hearts are broken and thus need time to heal, but why does it have to be so hard to go through that process?

and even when you believe that youre to a point when theres more than bandaids and tissues holding you together something happens and its shattered all over again.


times like this i hate that humans are creatures who love.
